Principle NFS (Noro Fabrice System) is the synthesis (combination) of an internal rotor motor and an external rotor motor. Just like with an internal rotor motor, external rotor NFS systems only contact 4 poles, which generates high revolution speeds. With that higher speed we add a large diameter external rotor so as to produce a very strong power package. From this combination of high speed and large diameter, the results are a very appreciable increase of power.

Consequently a motor using the NFS system with a weight of only 160 grams, is able to produce up to 1000 Watts with excellent efficiency, whereas a traditional 4 pole inrunner direct drive motor of the same size and of equivalent mass, or an external rotor with 14 poles can support only about 500 Watts at the maximum power.

The choice applications of the NFS principle are helicopters, turbines or powering boats. NFS motors with the use of a gearbox (like the Elite series) are extremely powerful for sailplane use. With the use of the NFS system in your applications, you will see that the size, power and weight savings is incomparable.
